Financial Aid Opportunities

Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan 

This loan is federally-guaranteed, and it is not based on financial need.  Interest accrues from the time the loan is disbursed to the school and is a fixed rate for the life of the loan. Loan Origination Fees are taken at the time of disbursement. . There are maximum amounts you can receive per school year determined by the number of months you are in school.

  • Amount offered: $20,500 per academic year 
    • Interest Rate: Fixed at 6.54%
    • Origination Fee: 1.057% 
  • The life-time maximum a Graduate student may receive throughout their graduate career is $138,500 (also includes all Federal Direct or FFELP Subsidized Loans you may have received)

 

GraduatePLUS Direct Loan

Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan is a loan made by the U.S. Department of Education to graduate or professional students. Interest accrues from the time the loan is disbursed to the school and is a fixed rate for the life of the loan. Loan origination fees are taken out at the time of disbursement. Graduate PLUS Loans do require the borrower to be credit-worthy.

  • Amount offered: To cover up to full cost of attendance
    • Interest Rate: Fixed at 6.54%
    • Origination Fee: 4.228%

Scholarship Universe is a scholarship matching portal that determines eligibility for all available scholarships based on the student profile question responses. A UA NetID is required to log into SU. If you are not a UA student, you will not be able to create a profile until you are admitted, but you will be able to see a list of available scholarships and related information. P-MAP students are encouraged to apply for all available scholarships that are designated within the SU portal and research other scholarships available through public and private organizations.
